About the Artist: Tricia Paoluccio
Domain of the Flowerings celebrates the work of multifaceted artist Tricia Paoluccio, whose creations honor the beauty and resilience of flowers, especially the wild blooms she grew up with on her family’s almond farm in Modesto, California.
What began as a childhood pastime of pressing flowers has blossomed into a celebrated artistic practice recognized internationally. After one of her works went viral on Instagram, Paoluccio was invited to collaborate with leading fashion houses. Most notably, she partnered with Oscar de la Renta to create an entire collection based on her art for their acclaimed Fall 2021 show, including the gown worn by Taylor Swift when she won Album of the Year for Folklore—a look later named Dress of the Year. Anna Wintour also wore a gown featuring her artwork at the Met Gala, and Paoluccio’s work continues to captivate the worlds of fashion and design.
For Paoluccio, flower pressing is more than an art form—it’s an act of reverence. Her process invites a slowing down, a moment to notice what is fleeting, and to preserve what might otherwise disappear. Celebrated for her singular hand and meticulous technique, each composition is carefully photographed at the highest resolution and transformed into limited-edition fine art prints that embody nature’s wild, untamed beauty.
Paoluccio’s vision extends beyond the gallery, translating her floral artistry into wallcoverings, upholstery, porcelain tableware, Italian linens, soft accessories, and hand-knotted rugs. Her work has been exhibited in New York and San Francisco and brought to life through collaborations with cultural icons and leading brands including Steinway, Jwana Hamdan, Saved NY, Crosby Street Studios, Bella Rosa Collection, Tiffany & Co., Loewe, Jonathan Simkhai, and Moda Operandi.
