About the Artist
Both timeless and contemporary, Paoluccio reimagines the centuries-old tradition of pressed flowers, transforming a once sentimental craft into a distinctly modern artistic practice.
Tricia Paoluccio is a multidisciplinary artist, actor, designer, and founder of Domain of the Flowerings, a luxury design house known for transforming real pressed botanicals into fine art, wallcoverings, textiles, rugs, porcelain, and collectible design.
Raised on an almond farm in California, Paoluccio began pressing flowers as a teenager, developing a lifelong fascination with the fleeting beauty and resilience of the natural world. Paoluccio personally gathers, presses, and composes every botanical element used in her work, creating a distinctive visual language that has become synonymous with contemporary pressed flower art.
Her work gained international recognition through a collaboration with Oscar de la Renta for the brand's Fall 2021 collection, which featured her original pressed flower artwork translated into textiles. Among the most recognizable designs was the now-viral pressed flower mini dress worn by Taylor Swift while accepting Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. A separate work by Paoluccio inspired the gown worn by Anna Wintour at the Met Gala. That gown was later featured in exhibitions at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Kensington Palace. Wintour has since become a private collector of Paoluccio's artwork.
Paoluccio has collaborated with leading brands including Tiffany & Co., Loewe, Jonathan Simkhai, Steinway & Sons, Jwana Hamdan, Saved NY, Moda Operandi, and Crosby Street Studios.
Alongside her visual art practice, Paoluccio continues to work as an actor, with credits spanning Broadway, film, television, and international touring productions. Most recently, she co-wrote and starred in the musical Here You Come Again where she starred as Dolly Parton, which toured throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
Through her educational platform, Modern Pressed Flower, Paoluccio has taught more than 8,000 students worldwide, helping to inspire a new generation of botanical artists.
